Stand United: Recite the Pledge and Just Say `No to Judicial Activism
The Pledge of Allegiance has once again been ruled
unconstitutional, just in time for the Senate Judiciary
Committees confirmation hearings for John Roberts.
Apparently atheist Michael Newdow and the liberal judiciary in
California did not get the message. They are determined to force
God out of the history books and force their athiest beliefs on
the rest of the country.
It is time for all Americans to stand for something. The
activist minority has had a very loud voice in the past, and now
it is time for the vast majority to stand up and shout back
long and loud.
Let us begin by reciting the pledge in every public meeting
across the country from the smallest village to the largest
city. Let every American, young and old, go to every government
meeting and recite the Pledge. Stand and proudly say the full,
complete Pledge of Allegiance at school, at ball games, Scout
and other youth group meetings, and at every meeting of
selectmen, school boards, city councils, county commissions,
state legislatures, and the U.S. House of Representatives and
Senate.
Hold rallies on the steps of the local courthouse, government
offices, and state capitals. Gather in city parks, school
auditoriums, and in every public place. Bring signs, sing songs,
and stand together and give the Pledge of Allegiance.
Let us make our voice heard by writing letters to the editor of
local and national news organizations, calling talk radio shows,
sending letters and making calls to local and national elected
leaders, and particularly to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Do not wait. Do it now. Show the liberal media and extremist,
activist judges that we are tired of being forced to give up our
traditions for the sake of a 1 percent minority.
As the debate continues in the U.S. Senate over the nomination
of Judge Roberts, Americans need to send a flood of letters,
e-mails and phone calls to every Senator.
The time has come to insure that judges uphold and defend the
law, not try to rewrite the law according to their personal
desires.
The relentless attack by left-wing extremists on the fundamental
values on which this great nation was founded must be countered.
Let us be courageous and united as we stand together and defend
the values we hold dear.
We must respect the views and beliefs of others, and they must
give us the same respect. That does not mean either side has to
embrace the beliefs of the other. Mr. Newdow needs to look up
the word toleration in the dictionary.
Until we unite in a loud voice to defend America, the attacks on
the Pledge, the Boy Scouts of America, and Christians in general
will continue.
